A Meaningful Endorsement: If Iraqis Could Vote, It Would Be For McCain

This is a much better and meaningful endorsement than Al Qaeda endorsing Obama. Iraqi civilians say, if given opportunity, they would vote for McCain:

For five years Ali and Mohammed have lived alongside US soldiers in their Baghdad neighbourhood near Rasheed Street, a prominent commercial artery running through the heart of the Iraqi capital.

During that time American culture and politics have become familiar to them, and they say that if they could, they would vote for Republican candidate John McCain in next week's US presidential election.

Nukes??? No, I have not heard anything either. But then, unlike NOZ, I work for a living and don't have time to spread Al-Queda propaganda.

my point was not that the al qaeda messenger boards are at all relevant to who you should support in this election. rather that brian was being just as stupid by citing the fact that one random guy on the gaza strip supports obama is at all relevant to our domestic decision of who to support. the all qaeda posters weren't a proxy for who all of al qaeda supports, my point was that who al qaeda supports doesn't matter.

and my original point above still stands. you can't say who "iraqis" in general support unless you poll them.

as for the alleged iranian nuclear test, it's pretty doubtful that it actually occurred. the story comes from a single israeli source, which claims that a minor earthquake last weekend in iran was, in fact, a nuclear test. the problem with the theory is that seismagraphs can distinguish between earthquakes and nuclear tests. that's how the indian and pakistani tests were picked up in the 1990s (even though both countries are in an earthquake zone).

if the israel insider story were correct, it would have been easily verified. instead, no one else has verified it. (i might also point out that israeli insider has a long history of floating theories about iran that haven't turned out. it's known for pushing a fairly hawkish agenda)
