Who Voted For Obama Anyway?
Well, half the country it would seem anyway. Sort of at least.
We had over 124 million people casting a vote for president. Obama received 53% of the overall popular vote. So, thus, he attained the majority of personal votes. But, thankfully, we have never held a presidential election based on popular vote.
Think on that for a moment. Barack Hussein Obama was cast as the next coming savior of America. At least according to the mainstream media and the democrats. He was hailed up and down. He was even declared the winner of the race a week or two before the election. His flaws were glossed over as something unworthy to be even discussed. But.....
But, he only got 53% of the total vote!! And....
Conservatives turned out in a lower percentage this election than the last. So, shouldn't Obama have won the election by an even larger margin?

By now, we have all seen the US map of who won by state. I present it here for those who have not. Many thanks to Mark Newman for the map.
This is a similar map to that from 2004's election. Except for 3 to 4 states that changed from red (McCain) to blue (Obama). It is kind of easy to see how Obama won this election. But, when you look at the next map (via NewsMax.com), one still wonders HOW 53% of this country who voted, voted willingly for Socialism.

Now, it's hard to see the amount of blue that would explain that a majority of the voters in this country voted for a Socialist. But, there is an easy way to think about this.
Where you see RED, think small towns that still believe in guns, religion and low taxes. Where you see BLUE, think of massive populations like major cities and capitols, massive welfare, poverty centers, and bastions of liberal ideology.
When you see RED, think low populations of people who learned how to live on their own and are self-sufficient. When you see BLUE, think of high population of people, traffic jams, and people who expect the government to provide any of a number of services like transportation, food, medical, education, charity, parenting, lawn care, and even home maintenance.
In other words, people who have lived long on the federal teet that they get scared when they think of someone other than a socialist controlling federal spending and how that money gets directed toward them. Think illegal immigration and lower morality. And, you will begin to understand how there are blue areas in only very small parts of this nation.
By the way, think of this to if you have been scratching your head wondering how people could have voted for Obama. Nearly half of the voters in Minnesota voting for either D or R have voted for ..... Al Franken. Does that help?
Didn't think so. Me neither.
