Apparently, nobody tried to bother contacting Cory Lidle's family before trumpeting his name all over the reports of the plane crash earlier today. Typical breathless reporting of an unconfirmed rumor our drive-by media? Or did someone on the police force drop the ball before releasing that information to the public?

As a bonus, I'm going to leave you with a photograph of Alec Baldwin being, well, Alec Baldwin. After all, he's way too important for silly little things like "police lines." (h/t AllahPundit)
