Fairfax County to Bow to Saudi Arabia (Again)

This is still not your County government!
Word has it from a number of sources that the expansion of the Islamic Saudi Academy will be heard by the full Board of Supervisors this evening. I attended the Planning Commission hearing on this project back in March, and was totally appalled at how much of a double-standard there was. People who spoke out in support of the ISA expansion were treated with the kindest, puffiest non-questions imaginable, while people who went on the record against it were subject to harangues from the intimidating audience and vicious cross-examinations by the Commission itself.
To anyone who wants to attend, it will be held at the Fairfax County Government Center tonight at 6 PM, in the big conference room that's off of the right-hand side of the lobby. (I will be unable to attend due to a busy semester out at Mason, unfortunately.)
You can read Snapped Shot's original reporting on this project here, here, here, and here. It goes without saying that I remain wholeheartedly against this disproportionate expansion on rural property that would otherwise be completely shut off to new development.
For up-to-the-minute reporting of tonight's meeting, I recommend reading: Black Velvet Bruce Li, Crystal Clear Conservative, Northern Virginiastan, and of course, my good friend Pamela Gellar at Atlas Shrugs.
