The Hidden Costs of ObamaCare

Better late than never I guess.

Back in September, around the 10th, David Axelrod of Obama's administration talked to Wolf Blitzer on CNN. You have probably seen the video already. Hot Air had a post about it. Rush Limbaugh tore David a new one on his radio show on September 22. Everyone is calling it a lie. It may very well be.

Allow me to quote the key point beyond the break. Continue reading »

You Forgot To Mention Ace...

Ace puts up a post about Pelosi and her quest for a VAT like all other Socialized nations. (Ask the Canadians how they feel about theirs. Be prepared for a rant)

Ace: Did you forget that she is just misdirecting? She makes people believe that this will save money by adding a tax so that the producers don't have to raise their prices in order to pay for their employee benefits.

How does this make any sense except to a liberal dunderhead.

How will products be cheaper if you take off benefits cost for producers but then increase their TAXES on each stage of a products life?

If a car costs $10,000 for a consumer, it might be cheaper if the automaker does not have to add the costs of employee benefits. But, if you then turn around and charge a Value Added Tax on each stage of a car's components creation, so that in the end each individual component sees multiple taxation points, then the price of that car will actually INCREASE for consumers.

Once again, this is a blatant and obvious attempt to quash capitalism and profit and the lifestyles that Americans have known and grown to love. Pure anti-American ideology at work.

When Lucy Pulls The Fast One....On Health Care

You know Lucy. The evil-incarnate anti-hero to Charlie Brown. She loves to seemingly provide a service, an offer, to Charlie Brown but in the end, she happily refuses to deliver.

This guy, Gary Woltal (have no idea who he is), calls it the Lucy-Charlie Brown Effect. He says:

It all has to do with "attachment" to an expectation. Charlie Brown attaches to the fact that he "thinks" Lucy will hold the football and he can kick it. The way the world really works is she may let him kick it or may pull the ball away.

Unhappiness comes from a death grip in your mind attaching what you think the outcome will be.

It would seem that people's refusal to see this ObamaCare for what it is, is because of the Lucy-Charlie Brown Effect. They are attached to an expectation that things will continue on as they have. That things will, no, MUST get better. Because it just would not make sense that anything could change. Continue reading »

Obama: You Don't Need No Stinkin' Job

Recently, I told you how Obama and his cohorts have ruined this economy by crushing jobs by the millions. More recently, I showed you how this nation is approaching Great Depression numbers.

Except Obama keeps telling us that things are great. America is as strong as ever. In fact, your life could be worse if he hadn't put us further in to debt by giving tax dollars to produce canned ham and a giant balloon alligator.

Need further proof

They Dined While Soldiers Died

Isn't that pretty much the mantra that we heard from the left attacking Pres Bush when he was presiding over the war on terror? Except then it was "He lied and [somebody] died".

Now our soldiers are under Pres Obama's watch and their lives are in his hands.

And with our soldiers and their leaders currently asking for more support from Pres Obama, what does he decide to do? How does he respond to their emergency calls for aid? Continue reading »

Heh: It Could Be Worse (you ungrateful peasants)

"Hey, what do you want? 40% Unemployment? We saved you. Get over it."

If it wasn't for Obama's leadership and foresight and complete awesomeness, your grandmother would be dead and everyone would be unemployed.

Now, while Obama and his inner voice did not see YOUR pain lasting this long, it could have been much worse. Sing your praises to him and thank him for your food stamps.

See Ace for the story. See here for the full-sized graph.

But note that the real unemployment is closer to 10.2%. This is due to people who just stopped looking for work. And, if you consider those ungrateful peasants wanting to find full-time work, that happy misery-index is closer to 18%.

Oh, but we are actually in a recovery period, its just you stupid over-taxed greedy employers who are refusing to hire hard-working grannies back.

You want some happy news? Ok, here ya go!

Another BIG One Bites The Dust

Ok. Get this...

A Dallas judge ruled Thursday that Texas' ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional as she cleared the way for two gay men to divorce, the Dallas Morning News reported.

State District Judge Tena Callahan said the state’s bans on same-sex marriage violates the constitutional guarantee to equal protection under the law.

While the Texas attorney general had stepped into the case to say that because a gay marriage isn’t recognized in Texas, a Texas court can’t dissolve one through divorce, Tena denied the intervention.

When will these judges stop banning what people vote on? When will they stop invalidating the will of the people?

Michelle: Those With Health Insurance Are Blessed

Rush covered this a while back, but I am just now trying to catch up with some news after I moved to an apartment 2 weeks ago.

Obama had his girdle out pushing his health care plan in front of a gaggle of women.

She recites a story from her recent past in order to prove that having insurance saved her girls life.

I will never forget the time eight years ago when Sasha was four months, that she would not stop crying -- and she was not a crier, so we knew something was wrong. So we fortunately were able to take her to our pediatrician that next morning. He examined her and said, "Somethin's wrong." We didn't know what, but he told us that she could have meningitis. So we were terrified. He said, "Get to the emergency room right away."

I think about, "What on earth would we have done if we had not had insurance."

Read that again. Let it soak in.

My rant is on page 2. Continue reading »

Here Our Cry Obama!

And you thought we were making up the Obamassiah thing.

"Deliver us Obama!"

It was not the people on the right that started this. It was those toe-kissing weak-knee'd liberals that went all squirmy between the knees just thinking about the chance to vote for Obama. No matter what he believed in. No matter what his plan to destroy the country. No matter what his background. They just wanted to vote for some black man that talked clearly.

And, this video was from 2008 as well. They have not given up on their messiah-worship of him yet. They will do anything for him. For his attention. For his glance.

When you deify a man, you blaspheme GOD. These idolatrous "religious" leaders are damned.

(H/T to Breitbart.tv. See also Michelle Malkin, and Hot Air)

I Take It Back: He's Still A Dem *Updated*

I praised Congressman Alan Grayson a while back for his stand against government waste and corruption. But, we must all remember that he is still in fact, a DEMOCRAT Congressman from Florida.

The other day, on the floor of the House he got up to make a speech against the Republican Party.

Can you say vile, despicable, reprehensible, indecent of a Congressman, etc, etc?

How is this any different than saying someone lies? This IS an outright lie and slander to boot.

You know Congressman, maybe some people feel that it is NOT the business of the government to dictate health care in this country to individual citizens. Maybe they feel that it is a GOOD thing that people are allowed to make their own health decisions and are allowed to be responsible for when they get sick.

Sir, I hope the Socialists in this nation, like you, take option 3.

[Update] It would seem that he wasn't done speaking. He even spoke outside the House. Breitbart.tv has it in great video form. Money quote:

"Several Republicans asked me to apologize. Well, I would like to apologize. I would like to apologize to the dead!
...
I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America. I yield the rest of my time."

He claims to have a report that states that over 44,000 American ADULTS die every year because they have no health insurance.

BULL-PLOPS!!!!!!

Speechless

Or, is this the new anti-flu regime?

And things only get worse from there.

Much .. much worse. (Yeah, doesn't he just look happy)

Gov't: You Have A Right To Buy That Gun - We Have A Right To Take It Back

... now that we know who you are, where you live, and that you own a gun.

Whoever said that gun registration could lead to gun confiscation?

Who was it that USED IT? Yeah, I bet you think I will do the obligatory point to Hitler and the Nazi gun-confiscation actions.

GOTCHA. I'm actually going to point to the liberal's love-nest. Toronto.

I like the quote from the Police Chief:
Targeting people who had registered their guns is a preventative measure, said Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair.

Preventative of what? What does taking legally purchased guns from law-abiding people prevent?

Not like this could ever happen in America - the land of the 2nd Amendment. Right? RIGHT?!?!?

Not even in a very liberal city like New Orleans.

Maybe if they would focus their efforts on those who have illegal weapons and give them something to turn those guns in, they might actually get on the people's good sides.
