One wonders upon viewing this photo, whether or not the Associated Press has bothered to notify the Pakistani government of the "undisclosed" location in which they openly arranged to meet this outlawed gang of kidnapping terrorists for a classical, yet somehow modern photo-op:

Faux Press Conferences

Eagle-eyed reader Gretsida spotted something curious in this Reuters photograph of a "peace activist" news conference. I've blown up and cropped a portion of the photo [terms; contact] to illustrate this interesting find:

You won't be hearing much through these microphones...

In all, of the 23 microphones shown in this particular photo-op, 10 to 12 of them are disconnected. Could it be that these microphones were placed on the stand to give this terrorist-supporting mob the airs of credibility?

And, if Reuters participated in this photo-op knowing full well of this manipulation, does that mean that Reuters is complicit in this fraud?

Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

The Democratic party is the new standard-bearer for unity and tolerance, after all:

No matter how many times I see this, I can't help but wonder if the press would give coverage as glowing to certain other groups as it collectively does to these terrorist thugs.

After all, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades openly espouses violence against civilians—which is something that the "Social Justice"-seekers in the press stand firmly against, isn't it?

I think this bunch of pro-Israeli protesters have finally found a way to get the press to take them seriously:

Al Aqsa Glowing Tribute: A Hamas Reaction

How fortunate for us to have such vaunted news services. Mere hours after their puff-photography of the bloodthirsty killers of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, we plebians are treated to a most balanced reaction from the bloodthirsty killers of Hamas.

Of course, it's very fitting that Hamas would mock anyone for wanting to make peace with the Zionist entity. After all, it's not like we expect Hamas to suddenly become peaceful. How odd it is, though, that the Associated Press feels compelled to transmit their mockery world-wide as bona-fide news.

Not Murderous Enough?

Update:

It would seem that, in less than 12 hours, the leader of this new offshoot of Al-Aqsa has been slain by the IDF, making this perhaps the shortest-lived terrorist group in the history of the Middle East.

It would appear that there is now a spinoff of Al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigades, which is itself a spinoff of the supposedly-moderate Fatah organization. It would seem that these discontents, who form the new Abu Amar Martyr's Brigades (very original), are pushing to kill Jews faster than ever.

The press, of course, didn't miss the opportunity to show up and bask in the thugs' glory.

If the smoking doesn't kill him, the IDF surely will!

It's curious to note that the reason given by these thugs for their separation from Al-Aqsa is that, and I quote, "some Al Aqsa gunmen have earned a bad reputation for their involvement in vigilante actions, including extortion."

Terrorist thugs? Involved in extortion? Who woulda thunk it?

The press is completely disgracing itself in its continual attempts to support the Intifada. Check out this delightful piece of propaganda:

Is savagery like this really newsworthy? Why is it appropriate for a news organization to be present at these events, transmitting unquestionably the terrorists' hateful propaganda?

Reuters is a disgrace upon the entire West. They have reduced themselves from being a vaunted news organization, to existing as a mere channel for terrorist propaganda. It's almost as if they were a shell of their former selves, isn't it?

Another day, another terrorist press conference. You've gotta love how far the press will go to fawn over these thugs.

A handful of photographers sent photographs over the wires of this farce, but of all of them, Reuters is characteristically short on details. Can you guess what Mohammed Salem left out of his captions? I'll be dropping more hints following the break, if you're interested!

Be sure to check out our previous coverage of terrorist press conferences as well. This isn't the first time that the press has gotten the vapours over a group closely resembling the dreaded Ku Klux Klan.

Familiar Faces?

Are these the same familiar faces we've commented on before? The guy in the second row, 2^nd from the right seems to be familiar, from where I'm sitting in any case.

The guy all the way to the left in the front row looks familiar as well. (Update--And I believe the guy second from the right in the front row is none other than Mahdi Abu Ghazaleh, the spokesman of Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.)

Curiously enough, Nasser Ishtayeh was one of the photographers who sent in the last set of pictures surrounding this particular Al Aqsa cell, and in the story previous to that, where I'd originally spotted "Jughead."

Very interesting.

Does Nasser Ishtayeh (ap) associate freely with Al Aqsa, a rather notorious terrorist group? He sure does seem to be around whenever they do anything photogenic. I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for corresponding pictures from Abed Omar Qusini (reuters), who for some reason tends to show up wherever Nasser does.

The media, in all of its glory, wholeheartedly participating in the celebration of a new weapon designed to kill Jews:

I hope to track down the news articles attached to this event, photographs from other wires that might have attended, etc. In the meantime, the only other photo I've found on the wires so far from this "celebration" follows in the extended article.

Update: Reuters is beginning to weigh in on this event, sending in a photo bylined Abed Omar Qusini. It's interesting to note that Reuters' version of this story is significantly different than the story presented by the AP.

Then why is it okay for Reuters to legitimize THIS murderous band of thugs? Perhaps because Reuters has no problems with groups that kill Jews?
