The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

Nasser the Lion-hearted

REUTERS -hearts- hamas.
The press may not be covering certain other stories of importance, you can guarantee that they'll be there to lionize a terrorist "peace-seeking politician" being freed by the Israelis evil Zionist overlords.

Check out the photos of Nasser Shaer, Deputy PM of the Palestinian Legislative Council—AND member of Hamas—who was arrested earlier on terrorism charges. Nasser was the only one of the thirty-odd people arrested to be released, so I'm sure the Israeli Supreme Court knew what it was doing when it released him.

In any case, be sure to check out the royal treatment that was setup for him by a couple of AP photographers.

(Apparently, the AP has seen fit to send three photojournalists/stringers to cover this event, and Reuters has joined the fold by submitting the most ridiculous photograph I've seen come across the wires so far. To paraphrase a question I recall using somewhere around the 4th grade, "If Reuters loves Hamas so much, why don't they marry them?")

Update 12:30 EST: A THIRD fauxtographer from the Associated Press is checking in. You guys really don't need anyone to cover any rioting that happens to be going on, do you?

And now Reuters joins the fun with this iconic shot, which also happens to illustrate perfectly the relationship between Reuters and Hamas. (Yes, REUTERS, I just accused you of supporting terrorism. Maybe if you changed your editorial policy, you wouldn't have to suffer accusations like that?)

Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Naser al-Shaer (L) is greeted by a supporter as he crosses the Hawara Checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus September 27, 2006. Israeli authorities on Wednesday released al-Shaer, who was among Hamas officials detained after Gazan gunmen abducted an Israeli soldier. REUTERS/Loay Abu Haykel (WEST BANK)

I think it's pretty clear that the opinions of those who post here do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of myself, the host of this website. If you have a problem with something specific that I have written, feel free to point it out, and we can debate it here. Otherwise, feel free to refer to Christopher Hitchens for a Cliff's Notes ("Notes du Cliffe?") of the difference between what the Jews endured in World War II (hatred based on racial composition, backed by false science), and the largely rational debate over Islamic extremism.

I'll close with this balanced, non-racist cartoon, as it appeared in a government-printed newspaper in the Middle East. See if you can spot the Jew, according to the Muslim cartoonist:
