The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

Fairness, Jihadi-Style

From the Jerusalem Post,

Ahead of the much-publicized summit between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday afternoon that was due to focus, among other issues, on captured IDF solider Cpl. Gilad Shalit's release, a senior Hamas official said his group was ready to give Israel a videotape of the soldier if it agreed to release Palestinian women prisoners and other detainees.

How about this, you terrorist thugs: Israel will give you videotapes of the "Palestinian" women prisoners and "other detainees" in exchange for your videotape.

Abu Marzuk said the demand was "modest in light of the high price Palestinian people have paid and the collective punishment they have faced by Israel following the capture of the solider."

Collective punishment? Maybe that's for your collective guilt, per chance?

On second thought, how's this for a deal: Israel will allow you to continue to exist, in exchange for the good Corporal.

Sounds fair to me.

welcome back. missed you.

What is even more stupid than the offer, is that Israel will undoubtedly accept that offer. I can even forese that they will release Marwen Barghouti(sp?) and 1,000 other prisoners in order to get the one soldier back.

And yet, it seems they have given up on the other two kidnapped soldiers.
