The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

4 People = MANDATE!

It's curious to see that our wire services consider a protest that attracted only four people to be an event that is newsworthy enough to transmit. It's even more curious to see that the excessively liberal bastion that is Los Angelos could only muster 4 useful idiots unquestionable patriots to protest the continuing American imperialistic hegemony. (Or whatever else they're calling it these days.)

Protesters Gary Herbertson and Gloria Lambden, two of four protesters total, bang pots and pans as they demonstrate against the war in Iraq in what they call The Raise Hell for Molly Ivins Campaign at the Federal Building in West Los Angeles Friday, Oct. 19, 2007. The campaign was inspired by the words of liberal syndicated columnist Molly Ivins, who said in her last column before her January, 2007 death, 'We are the people who run this country. We are the deciders. Every single one of us needs to step outside and take some action to help stop this war. Raise Hell....' (AP Photo/Reed Saxon)

Patriotism is dissent, huh? Molly must be proud, indeed.
