I'd love to hear your ideas on what that atrocity on his head could be. Perhaps it could be something that the famously pro-American Frenchman shot on his last hunting expedition?

It's obvious innit! It's a nod to his American heroes (after all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery) - it's a Davy Crockett hat! Isn't it?
