"Peaceful inner struggle," my foot.
Of course, see if you can figure out what Reuters accidentally neglected to omit from the caption:
Palestinians carry the body of Jihad Nawahda during his funeral in the West Bank village of Yamoun near Jenin December 16, 2008. Israeli troops killed Nawahda, a Palestinian militant from the Islamic Jihad group, on Tuesday in the occupied West Bank, then warned of possible military steps in Gaza after gunmen there launched retaliatory rocket strikes. An IDF spokeswoman said troops had gone to arrest the militant, who was suspected of plotting to carry out attacks in the Jenin area. The troops opened fire at him as he tried to flee arrest, the spokeswoman said.
In response to the killing, Islamic Jihad militants fired three rockets from Gaza into southern Israel. No one was wounded.
"Our rockets will not stop and it will be like the rain over all the Zionist towns [Ed.:—I.e., "CIVILIAN" residences] around the Gaza Strip," said Abu Hamza, an Islamic Jihad spokesman.
