The cost of burial vaults is rising for everyone, but it is the Muslim community protesting. Though not a religious requirement, the concrete-lined vaults are the preferred choice of Muslims. Therefore, any increase in charges amounts to discrimination:

DERBY City Council has accepted that it was at fault for failing to consult the Muslim community over plans to increase the charge for burial vaults by £1,100.

Currently, anyone who wants a vault – mainly used by Muslims – pays about £295.

But the council says the real cost is nearer £1,400.

Of course, the dhimmi council immediately apologized to the Muslim community. They should have known it would be Islamophobic to expect Muslims to pay the same expenses as the kuffar in the community...
