I was contacted a while back by WND Books to do an interview with author Brad O'Leary about his shiny new truth-telling book on B. Hussein Obama. We weren't ever able to make our schedules sync up, but it sounded like an interesting subject of discussion, and I felt bad about it.
Luckily for us, thanks to ye olde fashioned PR Webbe, I'm happy to present at least a little bit of information about the book:
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 8, 2008—With the conventions over, the political debate shifts into the nation's bookstores this week as two competing books go head-to-head in a battle that could impact the race for the White House. One is written by candidate Barack Obama, while the other contains new revelations that might end the Illinois senator's presidential aspirations.Pwned.
"The Audacity of Deceit: Barack Obama's War on American Values" by Brad O'Leary (WND Books, ISBN 978-1935071020, hardcover $25.95) hits bookstores tomorrow, the same day as Obama's new campaign book, "Change We Can Believe In."
Shielded from the media by a strict embargo, the contents of "The Audacity of Deceit" have been a well-kept secret. A limited number of advance copies were mailed out to the media late last week. The cover provides a contrast to Obama's previous book, "The Audacity of Hope," and features a rendering of the subject's official Senate portrait.
"It's been noted that Barack Obama has written multiple books and no major legislation, but that's not a coincidence," says O'Leary. "He's tried to hide his true beliefs from the American people behind soaring oratory promising 'hope' and 'change,' but that's just a smokescreen, and one that's been very effective. Until now."
I've been increasingly suspicious about this man's (Obama's) ability to cast no shadow, with no history beyond what he has written himself. Sure, a couple of high school friends have spoken up to dispute their own portrayal in his books, but the man attended three different universities, was involved in politics and political organizations, yet no one has emerged to dispute his version of events in any meaningful way.
The press has been able to find scores of Sarah Palin's political enemies, despite the "ordinary person" nature of her life. I have no doubt, if I were crazy enough to run for political office, that I've met and interacted with my share of loons, who would be thrilled to tell their stories about me to the media.
It's like the man was dropped on the planet in 2001 by aliens, and supplied with a backstory. (note: I am not trying to start that rumor.) Everyone makes enemies, everyone pisses off someone in their life, and everyone has detractors with differing levels of credibility. There's something smoke and fog about this guy's whole nature.
Seriously, how much has been concealed, and what kind of person has the power required to pull that concealment off? That's what scares me more than anything, that even someone as allergic to conspiracy theories as I am is even thinking this way.
