The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

AP Sensationalizing Hurricane Ike?

This is an interesting picture, but I can't help wondering how much it is staged to sensationalize the image. Is the photographer clinging to a post as well?

A hurricane is dramatic enough, so why does the AP feel the need to embellish?

Tommy Scarborough supports himself on a post while he gets a lift from the strong winds created by the approaching Hurricane Ike in Bacliff, Texas, Friday, Sept. 12, 2008.

that is so stupid. anyone can tell that the wind is barely even blowing in that shot. I don't see any waves and the trees don't even look like the wind is blowing.

The waves would be blowing leftward if he were being blown leftward. As you can see, they're not.

Still, it shows that he's pretty strong. I'm quite sure I couldn't do that.

NOticed that the Drudge Report used that same image on their front page to tell of massive damage from Ike.

guess even some of the best are dooped.
