Leftist Hypocrisy

Patterico accurately weighs in on the hypocrisy of the left:

John Cole calls the people who hacked Sarah Palin’s e-mail “lovable scamps.” In Cole’s world, surveilling murderous terrorists is evil; hacking Republicans’ e-mail is lovable.

Right on, Patterico!

Personally, I see this email controversy a sign of the desperation liberals have reached. First, they mock McCain for not emailing, then they hack Palin's account to mock her emails. William Hazlitt once said, "As hypocrisy is said to be the highest compliment to virtue, the art of lying is the strongest acknowledgment of the force of truth."

Too bad you evidently didn't even bother to read Cole's post. If you had, you would probably have noted the sarcastic tone, not to mention the updates actually pointing out that it was sarcasm.

That is unless you're as lazy and dishonest as Patterico.

Obviously, *you* didn't read Patterico's.

Email-gate: MSNBC-Politico Focus on Possible Negatives . . . For Palin
By Mark Finkelstein | September 18, 2008 - 14:08

One or more people hack Sarah Palin's email account and publish her private correspondence on the web. So MSNBC and Politico naturally want to know if. . . Palin did anything wrong and whether there might be anything embarrassing to her in the purloined e-letters.

Discussion of possible negative implications for Barack Obama? Zilch.

Actually, I did read Patterico's post.

I just believe in going to the source and making up my mind instead of posting somebody's secondhand hashed-up opinion.
