So I mentioned last night that I finally managed to make it back to a Fairfax GOP meeting. Finally, I have a chance to sit down and spend a bit more time talking about it.
First and foremost, the meeting was an important occasion: With Ken Cuccinelli's pending departure from the Virginia Senate, the party needs to come up with a nominee to replace him. (Assuming we don't take Ron's idea and commandeer the phantom stimulus districts -- which, of course, is an idea filled with gallons of awesome.
As it turns out, three such people have thrown their hats into the proverbial ring to do this. And here's what I think of each:
Will Nance is the Executive Director of the Greenspring retirement community that's over off of the Fairfax County Parkway in Springfield. (And, believe it or not, I can still remember when it was just "green fields," but that's a story for a different blog.)
Finally, there's Steve Hunt.
