On December 7th, 1941, America was plunged headfirst into a global war that was not of our choosing. In remembrance of the dark days of today, I'd like to remind you that at one point, we were a nation in far worse shape. Despite all of the hardships faced by that generation of Americans--be it the Great Depression, the socialistic hodgepodge that followed, or even the dark days of war--America ultimately came to and vanquished the forces of evil for at least a little while.
I pray that we someday regain the moral fortitude we once had.
