Tony Blair Assaulted In Mosque

Robert Spencer has the story—the kicker for me was Blair's response:

"You know, he made his protest and that's fair enough," Blair told reporters once the man was removed. "I think it's important for you guys as well to not always mistake the protest for the general view of the whole population," he said.

What, you mean like this?

This was an official visit?  On the part of whom?

Is he now officially the PResident of the EU?

Wonder if the "concerned citizen" mistook him for GW Bush?

What really annoys me about the whole thing, besides Tony Blair's ridiculous reaction, which is actually more entertaining than annoying, is the way this has been reported. "Tony Blair assaulted inside the Ibrahimi Mosque". Please note, that "mosque" is the Cave of Machpela, mentioned in Genesis and one of the most holy sites to the Jews.  It is the burial site of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their wives.  Typically for Muslims, they took over a Jewish site and renamed it. And typically for the MSM, they took the Arab line and ran with it. Nowhere is it mentioned that this is also a Jewish holy site.

Since Israel recaptured Judea and Samaria in 1967, the Cave of Machpela is back in Israeli hands. And typically for Israel, the Israelis allow the Muslims to pray in it, sharing it with the Jews on different days - as opposed to the Muslims who would never dream of allowing the Jews to pray on a site controlled by them. (see the Temple Mount for example).

Interesting information Annie.  Thank you for the update and knowledge-share.  It is good to know that the MSM can be counted on to uphold honesty and journalistic principles.
