Like this, but worse.
To think that people are up in arms because (President!) Rick Perry called Social Security the Ponzi scheme that it is.
(CNSNews.com) - There were only 1.75 full-time private-sector workers in the United States last year for each person receiving benefits from Social Security, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Social Security board of trustees.
That means that for each husband and wife who worked full-time in the private sector last year there was a Social Security recipient somewhere in the country taking benefits from the federal government.
It goes without saying that (a) this number is far lower than any Democrat has ever admitted it would be, and (b) based on how low this number is, Social Security is fatally doomed.
Or, to put it another way, it is absolutely "an emergency or a crisis," and we really don't "have time to things in a responsible way [sic]."
But hey, it's not the first time anyone's caught a Democrat lying or anything.
