The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

Exposing the Vast Media Conspiracy

If recent events are any indication, it seems that the Daily Caller has found itself one doozy of a source—and it's someone inside the world of journalism that has a beef with the way things are run.

Today's story comes via Jonathan Strong, and it exposes something we long suspected, but couldn't conclusively prove. Objective journalists actively worked to protect Barack Obama, thereby getting him elected:

Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

It goes without saying that actively campaigning for a particular candidate is biased, but it's not like this is the first time we've seen it. The press was absolutely in the tank for Walter Mondale back in the 1970s, but thankfully were unable to get the liberal old coot elected at the time. They actively campaigned for Bill Clinton, the original Man from Hope, winning him the White House with their miles of glowing hagiographs.

Fortunately, as Andrew Breitbart points out, we have the Internet this time around—And we definitely noticed at the time that the Wright defense seemed to be very carefully coordinated.

It's good to see some concrete proof that our fears were not unfounded.
