Actually, it is.

My apologies for the brief outage there—I figured it was time to migrate away from the unmaintainable database server we were on to a fresh instance of FreeBSD 8 + PostgreSQL 8.4.

I doubt you'll notice any difference in speed from the adjustment, but if you do, then it's because we RUN BSD.

Oh, you uber-geek, you.  Trying to set a record for the most continuous uptime for blogs in Virginia?  I'll give you a run for you money with my Debian/MySQL setup, but then again I do like to update kernel versions from time to time, so you'll probably win that one.  With BSD, the next kernel update will probably happen about the time my kindergartner enters High School.

LOL! I'm showing 35 days of uptime currently, so that's a mega-fail already.

Gotta work on getting the kinks outta the hosting provider one of these days....... :)
