Man Killed By Ghost Train

A ghost train, reportedly from 1891, stalked and then ran over a man hunting ghost trains.

STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - A man who was with about a dozen people who were looking for a legendary "ghost train" in Iredell County was hit by locomotive and killed early Friday morning.

Okay, the ghost train didn't get him. A real train did. But I thought the story would be more interesting if it was the ghost train...

Don't miss the riveting video.

I think the ghost train was in exactly the same place as the real train, but you couldn't see it because of the real train.  And it was the ghost train that killed him, not the real one.

Wasn't that a Twilight Zone episode?

No, in the twilight zone one, the ghost train was also his father.

Ok... I have heard a ghost train, it was so close to my car that my car was shaking. No rail road lines anywhere near the road that I was on. Bragg Road in Texas is known for its ghost lights and it is an area where there used to be a train, but the train tracks were pulled up. It was a very scary experience. BUT... I would never hunt for a ghost train on actual train tracks. How could you possibly think that a real train is a ghost train???
