Deep Thoughts on Islamic Rage Boy

All about our favorite little guy!

Hilary White points us to a recently-published study of the psychology of Jihadists, and I've gotta say—It's really interesting. Particularly this bit:

Expressions of anger and threats are probably the quickest way to lose one’s face in Western culture. In discussions, those who lose their temper have automatically lost, and I guess most people have observed the feeling of shame and loss of social status following expressions of aggression at one’s work place or at home. In the Muslim culture, aggressive behavior, especially threats, are generally seen to be accepted, and even expected as a way of handling conflicts and social discrepancies. If a Muslim does not respond in a threatening way to insults or social irritation, he, not “she” (Muslim women are, mostly, expected to be humble and to not show power) is seen as weak, as someone who cannot be depended upon and loses face.

Oh! I didn't know Sandy Claws was Muslim?

#2 DMartyr 19-Aug-2010

Whoa, looks like Islamic Rage Boy has chilled out... a LOT!

Haha, unfortunately not. That photo's from 2003 or so—long before he got catapulted into fame for his irrational exuberance.

Damn, I though there was some hope for him...

#5 Brian C. Ledbetter 19-Aug-2010

Haha, maybe there is—I haven't seen him on the wires at all since 2008. Either he's finally given professional protesting up, or he's been cooling his heels in jail for a while.

Or he's taken a non-media-facing position in JKLF/APHC, though I would've assumed that a photographer would've "accidentally" captured him in action sometime before now if that were the case.

It could also be that he's a masked man now, though I haven't been able to conclusively prove it yet.

Rage Boy looks like he could use some immodium.

hhahahaahaa Forest.

My take:

In the Muslim culture, aggressive behavior, especially threats, are generally seen to be accepted, and even expected as a way of handling conflicts and social discrepancies. If a Muslim does not respond in a threatening way to insults or social irritation he is seen as weak, as someone who cannot be depended upon and loses face.

So, this is to be expected and tolerated in all non-muslim nations as well?  We were attacked several times before 9/11 due to our failure to respond in kind to muslim aggression.  That's the reason 9/11 occurred.

But now that we responded aggression with agression, they have not attacked us these last 9 years.

I think the reason we have not seen Rage Boy is that the wire service photographers, dipshit libs that they are, have realized that he has become a figure of fun for Anti-jihad bloggers and thus are not using his image anymore.Either that or an Indian policeman got fed up with the SOB and put a 7.62mm slug into his noggin. There has been quite a bit of violent protest by the Muzzies in Kashmir recently, first over the "mosque underwear" then over some Hindu/Muslim temple ground argument. the results of the Kashmir elections and now the non-burnt Koran burnings. There have been casualties at each one as apparently the Indian police idea of riot control is an FN-FAL or AK.
