The Ghost of Snapped Shot

Or, welcome to my low-maintenance heck.

Remember The Reason For The Season - November 2

It never astounds me the depths of unconstitutional depravity that our current crop of Socialist Democrats will go to to keep ahold of their power and perks.

Today's infamous decision to spit on our founding fathers comes from the liberals in Maine.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Like his neighbors, Claude Rwaganje pays taxes on his income and taxes on his cars. His children have gone to Portland’s public schools. He‘s interested in the workings of Maine’s largest city, which he has called home for 13 years.

There’s one vital difference, though: Rwaganje isn’t a U.S. citizen and isn’t allowed to vote on those taxes or on school issues. That may soon change.

Portland residents will vote Nov. 2 on a proposal to give legal residents who are not U.S. citizens the right to vote in local elections, joining places like San Francisco and Chicago that have already loosened the rules or are considering it.

Our country is doomed.  Granted Maine is a sactuary state (which I find to be rather odd since they are the second farthest state away from our southern border), but it is one thing to refuse to turn in illegals, but another to allow non-citizens to have a say in the direction of the government.

You have to question someone who would reside illegally in a country for 13 years, and supposedly pay taxes all that time, and not seek to become a legal citizen.  And then whine about not having a vote.

“We have immigrants who are playing key roles in different issues of this country, but they don’t get the right to vote,” said Rwaganje, 40, who moved to the U.S. because of political strife in his native Congo and runs a nonprofit that offers financial advice to immigrants.

Problem is bud, they shouldn't have a role in this country.  Just because you do, does not mean it is right and that you should have the rights of us citizens.  You left Congo because of political corruption but then demand the same corruption from our country.

Damn you sir!!

Abdirizak Daud, 40, moved to Minneapolis 18 years ago before coming to Portland in 2006. He hasn’t been able to find a job. Some of his nine children have attended Portland schools, and he‘d like to have a say in who’s looking over the school system and the city, he said.

But between his limited English and the financial demands, Daud hasn’t been able to become a citizen.

“I like the Democrats. I want to vote for Democrats, but I don’t have citizenship,” he said.

Let's see:  Non-citizen. Non-worker.  Huge family.  Doesn't have time to become citizen.  Not important.  And for some reason likes the Democrats.  Why not.  They give him and all non-citizens every benefit under the sun.

This is just another method to buy votes and its illegal and unconstitutional.

And come November, we don't have to take it anymore!
