Cheerleading for the Terrorists

The photo news wires are filled with pictures of another 200 or so Palestinian prisoners who have been freed from Israeli jails as a "goodwill" measure towards the Palestinian Authority. As others have pointed out, these guys aren't exactly innocent bystanders who were rounded up by a military state; but rather, most of them were incarcerated in the process of planning and carrying out terrorist attacks.

How does our "impartial" press choose to represent them?

You guessed it: As heroes.

If we can't trust the press to tell us truthfully about murderous thugs in the Middle East, why do we think they'll be more honest about any other topic?

Update: A loving embrace. Thankfully, the AP actually provides some details on this one:

A released Palestinian prisoner Said al-Atba kisses his mother as he arrives at her home in the west bank city of Nablus, Monday, Aug. 25, 2008. Among the 198 Palestinians freed by Israel was Said al-Atba, who served 31 years of a life sentence for masterminding a 1977 market bombing that killed one woman and wounded dozens of others in central Israel. Al-Atba, 57, was the longest serving Palestinian inmate in Israel and is widely seen by Palestinians as a symbol of all the prisoners. (AP Photo/Nasser Ishtayeh)

So as far as we can tell, he was not wrongfully convicted, and he did have a hand in killing Jews.

Notice that this fact doesn't stop the AP from running with this glowing portrait as "news."

Update: Soccer Dad has more background on why attempts like this are utterly futile.

It Must Be "Youths"day

The wire services are afloat in pictures of the stereotypical Palestinian "youths" (i.e., what are in most cases 25-year-old men who look suspiciously like "militants"), hurling stones and other random objects at Israeli police forces.

As many times as this exact picture has been taken, it's amazing that someone at the editorial desk still thinks it's news.

AP-Friendly Roundup: youths, youths, youths, youths, youths, youths, youths, youths, youths, youths, youths.

A Society Without Parallels

One could spend a lifetime studying the psychological effects of this type of "culture" on the children raised therein, if one were so inclined. Personally, I'll just be happy when the world stops pretending that these people are somehow innocent.

Those "Unfair" Israeli Jails, Part Deux

(Might as well post this now, since I'd rather not let Rooster's little atrocity hog the front page. LOL, revenge will surely come your way, Roost—I've got a really special pic of yours that I've been saving up for just this occasion!)

Here's another example of yesterday's story, fresh off of the wires today. Are these photographers trying to outdo each other with "touching" pictures of these terrorist families?

Notice the two "blob-like" statues that this family has amongst their collection of artwork. As I've commented on previously, this is a map that includes what is currently the entire State of Israel—which means that this family is fighting for a Jew-free Palestine.

Apparently, their fight continues to be shared by the propagandists in our press.

The daughter of Fadi Abu Salah, a Palestinian held in an Israeli prison, touches her father's picture at their family house in the West Bank village of Arabah, near Jenin, September 26, 2007. Israel agreed on Sunday to free another 90 Palestinian prisoners to try to bolster President Mahmoud Abbas ahead of a U.S.-sponsored conference on Palestinian statehood, officials said. REUTERS/Mohamad Torokman (WEST BANK)

Somehow, this point continues to elude the national disgraces that populate our State Department.

Peekaboo!

Encouraging your children to play war games with a grown-up Army doesn't seem to me like it would be all that beneficial to their health.

And, what do you know, this little tyke looks awfully familiar to me:

A Palestinian boy holds an automatic rifle weapon during a Fatah rally against Hamas in the West Bank city of Jenin May 16, 2007. At least 16 Palestinians were killed in fierce factional fighting in Gaza on Wednesday and Israel entered the fray with an air strike on a Hamas position that killed at least four gunmen. REUTERS/Abed Omar Qusini (WEST BANK)

Another case of watching 'em grow up and blow up? Could be.

Sadly, I suspect this little boy's life will be artificially shortened as a result of the pervasive brainwashing wrought on him by the Palestinian government and his parents—with the full permission of the spineless West, no less.

It's sad, really.

Check out below the fold for a couple more pictures of awesome parenting, if you want. And then ask yourself why there's no peace in the Middle East. Continue reading »

Pervasive Aggrandizement

The Palestinian culture of violence is rooted in the pervasive, all-encompassing propaganda that their culture forces upon its children. Here's a prime example of this phenomenon—the children are returning to their schools for the first school-day of the year, in the presence of the ever-ready photojournalist corps. Keep a keen eye on these childrens' surroundings:—The content of the murals, in particular, tell a rather one-sided story of the Palestinian conflict.

Palestinian schoolgirls arrive at their school on the first day of the school year at the West Bank city of Jenin Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007. Thousands of Palestinian children kicked off the new school year on Saturday in the Gaza Strip, but some of their counterparts in the West Bank got an extra day of vacation thanks to a teacher's strike. (AP Photo/Mohammed Ballas)

For the record, the map in the photograph above encompasses the entire borders of the current State of Israel—the target of the terrorist regime of the Palestinians. Is it any wonder that, after being incubated in surroundings like this for their entire lives, that the "cycle of violence" wrought by the Palestinian terrorists never ceases?

I'll be tracking more of these works of propaganda beyond the fold. Continue reading »

Feel the Flames of Hate

Record Speed!

It would seem that, in less than 12 hours, the dastardly Zionists have killed the leader of the brand new offshoot of Al-Aqsa Martys Brigades. Score one for the home team!

Palestinian mourners carry the body of militant Mohammed Morai, 24, the leader of the Abu Ammar Brigades, in the West Bank town of Jenin, Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Israeli troops shot and killed the wanted gunman in the nearby village of Kufr al-Dan, the army said. Residents identified the man as the leader of a new militant group linked to the Fatah movement called the 'Yasser Arafat Brigades.' After the shooting, dozens of people paraded his body through the streets of the village, vowing revenge. (AP Photo/Mohammed Ballas)

Notice that Mohammed Ballas and Mohammed Torokman were both present at the press conference announcing this new terror organization as well. Is it a coincidence that he was around when its brand new leader was slain? I think not.

I have a sneaking suspicion that both photographers were celebrating the day's festivities with the gang in the duration between this morning's story and this latest update. Good thing, too—otherwise, this immortal feat of Israeli policy would escape my notice completely.

I've rounded up some other pictures of this thankfully-former leader below the fold. Make note that some of the pictures are mildly graphic, so if you're averse to such things, be sure to skip this one.

Not Murderous Enough?

Update:

It would seem that, in less than 12 hours, the leader of this new offshoot of Al-Aqsa has been slain by the IDF, making this perhaps the shortest-lived terrorist group in the history of the Middle East.

It would appear that there is now a spinoff of Al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigades, which is itself a spinoff of the supposedly-moderate Fatah organization. It would seem that these discontents, who form the new Abu Amar Martyr's Brigades (very original), are pushing to kill Jews faster than ever.

The press, of course, didn't miss the opportunity to show up and bask in the thugs' glory.

If the smoking doesn't kill him, the IDF surely will!

It's curious to note that the reason given by these thugs for their separation from Al-Aqsa is that, and I quote, "some Al Aqsa gunmen have earned a bad reputation for their involvement in vigilante actions, including extortion."

Terrorist thugs? Involved in extortion? Who woulda thunk it?

In any case, I've got more background of terrorist press conferences, if you're not familiar with the topic. Otherwise, see the extended version of this article for more basking. Continue reading »

Selective Outrage Syndrome, Day OF RAGE!

A clear case of projection, if you ask me...
Rumour has it that there's a massive DAY OF ANGER!! (now where have I seen this before?) planned to protest the Israeli "destruction" of the al-Aqsa mosque. I haven't seen any photos of it yet, but considering that today is Friday, the Muslim holy day—and traditionally the day of the largest organized worldwide protests—I expect we'll be seeing quite a bit of action on the wires shortly.

Plenty of "anger" and "rage" are evident in the photographs, following the break. I ask you: Aside from "anger" and "rage," what else is there in the Muslim world?

Update: From what I can tell, there are two separate efforts underway. The primary is a large, "peaceful" protest, with plenty of flag-waving, propaganda posters, and other traditional elements of jihadi misinformation. The secondary seems to be an effort to goad the Israeli police into a firefight using "stone throwers" and other violent elements.

We shall see which side gets the greater coverage...

Previously on Snapped Shot: Selective Outrage Syndrome, Selective Outrage Syndrome, Day 2

Update: Here's the background on why all of this inflamed "protest" is genuinely fake. Thanks to LGF commenter BabbaZee for the link!

Update: In a rather interesting twist, it seems that this is a Palestinian day of RAGE, considering we haven't seen any action on the wires from Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, or any of the other usual hot spots. I'll keep an eye on the wires, of course, but I find it interesting that nothing's come across yet. Continue reading »

Still embedded with extremists

It's good to see that AP fauxtographer Mohammed Ballas is still deeply embedded with homicidal maniacs.

Moneychangers outside the temple?

Ok, for starters, I thought that those dastardly Zionists were the evil moneychangers of this world, but maybe I've missed a memo or two.

The IDF has apparently raided what's alternately referred to as "a money changing shop" or "a money-changing agency," in what it says is an attempt to raid, "the financial infrastructure of terror organizations."

No complaints from where I'm sitting, though I'm sure the benficiaries of said "financial infrastructure" will be upset at this disruption.

Of course, the accounts provided to the various media are a bit muddied. Take this photograph for instance:

Mohamad Torokman of REUTERS identifies this as "a Palestinian man," who is "reacting" as he "looks at a money-changing agency.

Ok, for starters, it looks like this "Palestinian man" is inside of the money-changing agency, as the bills on this currency are expected to be facing out of the building for the clientele to see. (You can confirm that we are standing on the outside of the shop by noticing that there are reflections in front of the bill on the bottom.)

The Associated Press, the dastardly scoundrels earnest professionals that they are, went through the effort of identifying this man, thus shining a glaring light on REUTERS' attempt at manipulating the scenario. From the terrorist-supporting Mohommad Ballas,

We learn that this man is money-changer Younis Bogermi. Money-changer? Inside of a "money-changing shop?"

Any chance that Mr. Bogermi is the proprietor of this exchange?

Not that REUTERS is interested in learning this. Continue reading »

OUR COWARDLY PRESS--Or, "Yet more of the same"

YES, MR. BALLAS, I CALLED YOU A COWARD!
Once again, here's a dramatic picture of our press, embedded with the enemy as usual.

Notice, however, how many "innocent civilians" this man is surrounding himself with, WHILE firing at Israeli troops.

The Israelis, of course, will not fire back, as the likelihood of them hitting any number of people behind this coward is too high. Our cowardly photojournalist, of course, reports the official terrorist line:--”11 "unarmed" Palestinians were injured.

(Note: Content has been re-written now that I've cooled off some.)

Of course, our intrepid photographer doesn't seem to mention the armed terrorists that are using these unarmed civilians as cover! This is what I mean when I say that terrorists are cowards who hide behind civilians. Muslim terrorists, the IRA, it doesn't matter. They're all guilty. What makes this infuriating is that the high and vaunted press--which collectively reminds us daily that they, and only they are impartial--refuse to describe these actions in an honest manner, instead accepting and parroting the Hezbullah/Hamas party line of "Dead Peace-Seeking Civilians Massacred By Zionist Invaders."

I know I've described (initially) this incident in very incendiary terms. I'm not trying to excuse my fury. The press, though, is inexcusable for being complicit in the murder--by support and advocacy--of otherwise innocent life.

I've been told by readers, via e-mail, and have otherwise heard from "peace-loving" Muslims in my personal life, that Israel's imperialism and occupation has caused this violent reaction.

My response to this attitude is thus:--”If you view the "unjust" occupation of an area of land so infintessimally small as southern Lebanon (the Shebaa Farms) is sufficient reason to justify murdering innocent civilians by remote control, then you are part of the problem. Do you want Israel and the United States to withdraw from the area? Fine. You'll quickly find that these areas remain lawless bastions of murder and death, even without all of the billions of dollars of foreign aid that pours into the region (and is siphoned off into the bank accounts of terrorists).

This is the enemy, folks. There is nothing civilized about this, and there should be no negotiations with monsters like this!

And yes, Mr. Ballas, I called YOU a coward.

The same goes for the cowards at the Associated Press that continue to employ propagandists such as yourself.

Shame on all of you.

UPDATE 14:53 EST: In a brief update, I neglected to mention that Mr. Ballas has been deeply embedded with the enemy for quite some time now. He seems to have developed quite a knack for capturing these human shields, hard at work...

UPDATE 16:33 EST: Rewritten after a sufficient cooling-off period.

UPDATE 18:30 EST: Allahpundit and Confederate Yankee have suggested that this is an example of the latest fashion in "body armor" to protect against Zionist aggressors in "Occupied" Palestine. The same substance as "Soylent Green" indeed, AP! LOL!

UPDATE 8-SEP-2006 09:11 EST: Of course, this event seems to have been followed by The Traditional Rent-A-Mob Palestinian Funeral (is there a Qur'anic verse decreeing such media-driven events somewhere that I've missed?). Of course, my traditional name for this phenomenon is Target-Rich Environment. There's one more reason why liberals and Arabs should be glad that people like me aren't in charge... yet. Check out the pics for details and hilarity. Continue reading »
