Welcome to Snapped Shot 6.0!
When this humble blog started 3 years ago, I never would've expected it to go in the directions it has. And, over the years, I'm sure y'all have seen some of the difficulties we've had in keeping the system up and running.
No more, my friends. No. more.
I am very pleased to announce that this latest redesign of the blog is not merely cosmetic. Nope—We've actually migrated everything here to a product called Drupal, which you might be familiar with over at a little site called NewsBusters. This means everything ought to load much faster for you now, in addition to looking cooler. (With my thanks to HybridRadio again for the truly elegant design!)
But wait! That's not all!
We also have a whole bunch of new features that you can explore here, which I'll be discussing over the next few days in more detail. I won't leave you totally hanging, though:—Check out that spiffy new "Register" button in the upper right-hand corner of the blog. If you hate CAPTCHAs as much as I do, I really think you're going to enjoy that little fella. (Plus it opens up a whole bunch of those new features that we'll be talking about later.)
Anyway, I won't bore you with more details for now. Please be sure to subscribe and stay tuned. We've got plenty more to come!

I gotta say, at 1920 x 1080, I'm not liking the redesign. Any way you can get the text to take up more than the left 30% of my screen?
The previous design was perfect for me... except of course, for the speed that would at times prevent site access entirely.

Haha, sorry about that! I've got a 1280x1024 screen over here that leaves plenty of empty space, but I'm trying to make the site appeal to a wider audience than those with ginormous screens.
Just think of it this way:—I'm saving you a ton of screen real estate, since you won't have to keep your window maximized all the time now. ;)

(And seriously, I'll see what I can do. We had the text stretch out in an earlier version of this design, and it just looked silly when it was fullscreen.)

Congrats on the new redesign Brian. I like the new look - it's more sophisticated and "grown-up" looking.
