Using Children To Make Propaganda

Michelle Malkin points out that progressive groups are doing their best to use children to promote their latest handout programs.

I guess we're supposed to forget that Social Security was originally an "optional" safety net, Medicare was designed to provide for the "underserved," and the Federal budget was set to be balanced by the year 2000.

It is amusing to see the party of "Keep Your Laws Off My Body" so busy trying to force its laws onto mine. All's fair in love and redistribution, I guess.

By the way, if you're interested in seeing how other "progressive" groups have used children in the past, I highly recommend looking here and here.

uh, the budget was balanced

uh, the budget was balanced in 2000. the u.s. had a budget surplus between 1997 and 2000. the budget only went back into deficit after the bush tax cuts in 2001, followed by the post-9/11 increase in military expendatures

Yadda yadda yadda. You know

Yadda yadda yadda.

You know what? My basic point remains the same, Noz:—Never ever ever trust a politician from today to enact something that won't get completely screwed up by the politician of tomorrow.

Certainly that's an attitude that we can both agree on, is it not?
